What we do?
We train students to become full-stack software developers. We use agile processes and test driven design to ensure code quality and product quality. We are an organization that believes in immersing students in the experience.
What are full stack developers?
Full stack developers have the knowledge and skills to take a concept to a finished product through all the stages of software development. Students will be able to develop an understanding of how a product is built from the data layer to the back-end to the front-end.
What is our tech stack?
- Git: our version control system
- MongoDB: the database that we use to store information
- Mongoose: handles the Object Relation Mapping of our database system
- JavaScript: a modern programming language used mostly on the web, provides the foundation of our boot camp
- Node: the runtime environment that allows us to run JS code out side of the browser
- Express: the framework we use that sits on top of the Node framework that simplifies building web applications
- HTML: markup language
- CSS: handles the styling of our HTML (Grid / Flexbox)
- JavaScript: We also use JS on the front end to dynamically interact with our front end environment
Software Developer
- Healthy environments are agile and team based
- Teams remain relatively small and work in sprints
- An average sprint is about 2 weeks but this can change from one work environment to another
